Whitstable is sometimes called ‘The Pearl of Kent’ and is a delightful and very popular coastal town. It is not only famous for its oysters and seafood but for the vibrant and contemporary art scene. With fishermen’s huts and pretty weatherboard cottages, in streets with eccentric names such as ‘Squeeze Gut Alley’, Whitstable has plenty of charm and character.
